Bar Monkey is back!

We are delighted to announce that Bar Monkey classes will resume in Scoil Cholmcille Ballybrack from Monday 7th September!

This is great news for us and we are really excited at the idea of being able to welcome everyone back and to get all our classes back up and running again.

We have put in place new operating procedures and we recommend everyone takes a look at these before they consider returning as we want to make sure everyone feels safe about coming back first and foremost.

Operating Procedures

Our timetable is going to change slightly to fit in with our new operating procedures and to adhere to current guidelines around covid-19 and the return to sport. Each class will now last forty minutes. This is to accommodate the cleaning of equipment, surfaces and mats in between each of our sessions as well as to avoid clusters of people gathering at the entrance.

This announcement is being delivered to previous members first and foremost and we want to give you priority about returning. We understand that some people might not feel ready and that is completely fine, so we don’t want to assume anyone is ready to return. For that reason to sign back up everyone will need to complete a new registration form. This will also contain a screening form which must be completed before you return to class. This is to comply with guidelines and ensure everyone has a safe experience upon returning to classes. We are also only allowing twelve participants per class.

So everyone knows, we have had a successful summer, running seven weeks of camps with 7-10 age groups, 4-6 age groups and our teenage groups one evening per week. We have been delighted with everyone’s co-operation during these sessions and would like to thank parents for that and for all the kids understanding around social distancing and hygiene etc. It has been reassuring for us to feel safe on everyone’s behalf about returning to evening classes in September.
