BAR MONKEY FESTIVAL 2019

I am delighted to invite you all to this years Bar Monkey Festival!
It takes place on Saturday October 12th in Cuala GAA Hall 2:00 - 6:00pm and we can't wait for this years event!

BAR MONKEY FESTIVAL 2019
OPEN SESSIONS 2:00 - 4:00 pm
The event begins with time for everyone to come along and have a go on the bars! We will have extra rigs set up and coaches at each station for everyone to get involved with. This gives everyone the opportunity just to come along try some stuff out and have fun! For anyone involved in our club it gives our kids the chance to show you what they have learned or been practicing in class, while meeting others and interacting with plenty of other kids from the club!
We will also have challenges on the day laid out by Bar Wars Ireland, Irish Calisthenics Academy as well as Calisthenics Equipment NI involving sets and reps for pull ups, push ups and endurance tests as well as floor competitions from Calisthenics Equipment NI. These are going to be open to all ages and showcasing that calisthenics is suitable for all ages to get involved!
EXHIBITIONS
Our exhibition section of the day will feature performance from our competition group within the club!
We are always really excited to see the development and progress of these guys and for other members to see a level that they can aspire to. Anyone that has been to any of our events before can vouch that all the kids involved are worth watching!
It is only through events like these that we are able to fully appreciate the progression that these guys have made as we can compare it to the last, so it's always great for us as a club to acknowledge this!
We will also have 1v1 battles from our adult athletes involved with us in a friendly competition.
Jamie will also be performing a demonstration ahead of his appearance at the WSWCF World Cup Super Final in Hong Kong on November 23rd - of which all the proceeds of the event will go towards.
MAIN EVENT 1 V 1 BATTLES
Our Main Event 1v1 Battles sees two of our young athletes Flyn Kennedy and Luke Bailey going against two young athletes from the UK Demetri and Nic Alvanis, who are twin brothers with an amazing future in the sport!
This will be Flyn and Luke's first 1v1 battles and we know they will represent themselves and our club brilliantly. We see them training in the club all the time and the hard work they put in, so they deserve to get the opportunity to be selected for this competition. I really hope everyone can come along and show their support. Most of you will probably know that Flyn is one of our coaches so I am sure the groups would be delighted to come and support him.
We can't wait to see them !
